About your coffee
Enjoy the delicate elegance of our Peruvian Chanchamayo Grade 1 Coffee, a light bodied brew with gentle floral notes and a soft, medium acidity. Grown at altitudes of at least 1,200 metres above sea level, this coffee thrives in the lush, mountainous regions of central Peru, where small holders cultivate their crops with care and tradition.
Chanchamayo accounts for around 40 percent of Peru's total coffee production and is typically dry processed, contributing to its clean, bright profile. The result is a refined and uplifting cup that is both smooth and aromatic.
Our Peruvian Chanchamayo is one of the highlights of our Single Origin coffees. If you enjoy coffees with a smooth body and refined complexity, you may also like exploring our full Medium-Dark roast collection.
To ensure maximum freshness, quality and consistency, every batch is roasted in small quantities in Norfolk, United Kingdom.
Coffee Formats Explained
We offer our coffee in a range of formats to suit your brewing method.
- Whole Bean: Our top recommendation, giving you the freshest cup when ground at home.
- Cafetiere / French Press: A coarse grind, perfect for French Press brewing
- Filter / V60 / Chemex: A medium to fine grind, ideal for drip machines or pour-over
- Aeropress: We would class this as a fine+ grind. Ideal for smooth extraction
- Espresso: an extra fine grind, designed for rich, concentrated shots.
How much do i need?
Most people use around 15 to 18 grams of coffee per cup depending on the brew method. On average if you drink two cups a day you will go through about 250 grams in a week.
It is always worth ordering a little extra so you never run out!
Coffee Freshness
To allow flavours to develop and excess CO₂ to dissipated after roasting, we allow our coffee rest for approximately 72 hours before shipping.
Our packaging contains a one-way degassing valve to both allow the degassing process to continue and keep unwanted air out.
Although our coffee can be stored for up to 1 year, we strongly recommend enjoying within 1 month for maximum flavour. For best results, store your coffee in a high-quality airtight container.
